TrueSavings: January 7-20, 2015 — Start 2015 with Great Savings on 2015 Models

The new year is here, and we’re celebrating the arrival of 2015 with a selection of eight great deals on 2015 models.

As the new-car shopper’s best resource for researching new car pricing, OpenRoad Lending’s Auto Buying Service,  shows the national market averages for these vehicles offer discounts off Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Pricing (MSRP) as high as 16.7 percent or a giant $3,982 off these eight selections.

If you’re planning to go shopping during the next two weeks, keep these eight great 2015 models in mind as you do your research. Because these great deals include a variety of sedans and SUVs, the included chart also lists fuel economy figures to help you compare what each vehicle could cost at the pump.

Remember, sales incentives are subject to change based on region and manufacturer, and should be confirmed with your dealer when shopping. Deals are limited to inventory on hand, so your Certified Dealer must confirm that actual inventory, including your preferred options and colors, is in stock.

Looking For a Comfortable Sedan? Then Look No Farther Than the Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Taurus, Hyundai Sonata, or Chrysler 200.

The 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LS starts with an MSRP of $23,290, but its average price is $3,899 lower at $19,391; that’s a potential savings of 16.7 percent off the suggested MSRP of Chevrolet’s five-passenger midsize sedan in LS trim. The 2015 Malibu is powered by a 196-horsepower/2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission; its standard auto start-stop feature helps the Malibu achieve fuel economy figures of 25 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 30.1 mpg combined.

The second car on the list of great deals for 2015 is the 2015 Ford Taurus with a national market average of $23,898. That’s 14.3 percent — or up to $3,982 — less than the $27,880 MSRP of Ford’s large front-wheel-drive sedan in SE trim and front-wheel drive, which also offers fuel economy rated at 22 city, 32 highway, and 26.6 combined.

The 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid boasts an eye-catching design and a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine combined with a 35kW electric motor mated to a six-speed automatic transmission to promise 199 net horsepower and fuel efficiency of 36 mpg city/40 mpg hwy/38.1 combined. Hyundai’s midsize hybrid sedan offers a potential 12.8 percent discount, which translates to a possible $3,440 savings — bringing the national market average price of Hyundai’s well-equipped hybrid Sonata down from an MSRP of $26,825 down to a very affordable $23,385

The five-passenger 2015 Chrysler 200 midsize sedan boasts a national market average of $26,333 and a monthly payment of about $336. First offered in 2013 as a complete redesign of Chrysler’s Sebring, virtually every system in the Chrysler 200 was new or upgraded with quality materials, an abundance of standard safety features, and a long list of standard content. Now in its last year before a model refresh, Chrysler’s all-wheel-drive midsize sedan offers a potential savings of 12.3 percent, or as much as $3,687 off its $30,200 MSRP. Fuel economy is rated at 18 city, 29 highway, and 22.7 combined.

Want Practical Space For Both Passengers And Their Cargo? Then Take A Look At The Dodge Journey, Jeep Cherokee, or Toyota Venza.

The functional 2015 Dodge Journey seats five (or seven with an optional third-row seat) and boasts a 13.7 percent discount. That translates to a potential $3,657 savings — bringing the national market average price of Dodge’s midsize front-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle from an MSRP of $26,190 down to $22,533. Fuel economy is rated at 19 city, 26 highway, and 22.3 combined.

Completely redesigned with sleek modern styling in 2014, the 2015 Jeep Cherokee utility vehicle delivers Jeep’s trademark performance, along with user-friendly connectivity and more than 60 safety features. Subtract its potential 13.7 percent discount — or up to $3,275 savings — from its already affordable $23,990 MSRP, and you could drive away with the Jeep Cherokee in 4×2 Sport trim for $20,715. Fuel economy is rated at 21 mpg city/28 mpg hwy/24.3 mpg combined.

The five-passenger 2014 Toyota Venza crossover combines a sleek car design with SUV flexibility with fold-flat rear seats, spacious cargo area, elevated driver sightline, up to 3,500-pounds towing capacity, a national market average of $26,368, and a monthly payment of about $370. That’s 11.5 percent — or up to $3,982 — less than the $29,800 MSRP of Toyota’s front-wheel-drive CUV in LE trim. Under its hood, the 2015 Venza offers a 181-horsepower/2.7-liter four-cylinder engine teamed with a six-speed transmission promising 20 mpg city/26 highway highway/22.9 mpg combined.
